Helping Gyalrong Khangtsen
The monks of Gyalrong college need your help. The monastic life is one of studying and contemplation. Monks have few marketable skills and little or no income. It is only through the kindness of others that the monks of Gyalrong can afford to eat, clothe themselves, and hopefully remain healthy. With more and more monks arriving every year, and the Tibetan lay community shrinking, it is an increasingly greater struggle to support the growing community. Help is needed from the West.
Financial assistance is needed for:
• food
• books
• clothing
• safe water to drink
• electricity
• housing
How to Help
If you are interested in helping support the monks of Gyalrong, please email this address:
Every year monks and nuns travel from the U.S. to Sera Mey, South India and with them take resources such as money, books, and clothing. If you would like to send assistance to Sera this manner is currently the safest as the Indian mail system is not secure.
